A new parking lot with a capacity of up to 120 spaces is being designed in the central part of Veliko Tarnovo. The site will be on the spot of the former football field in the area of the old military school – next to the busy Hristo Botev Street. This was announced by the Mayor – Daniel Panov at a working meeting with municipal councilors from various political groups, during which current issues related to traffic organization, parking and others were discussed.
The main street Vasil Levski Str. in Veliko Tarnovo was open for traffic yesterday. Although the municipality announced last Friday that it was extending the repair work period on the main street until the end of January, the contractor eventually managed to complete the work. With the opening of the street, the teams will continue the excavation activities and the replacement of the pipes in the section in front of the Court House, which requires the closure of the northern lane. The traffic through the crossroads will be carried out in both directions along the southern lane.
The main street “Vasil Levski” in Veliko Tarnovo will be closed for a month
As of Friday, the main street “Vasil Levski” in Veliko Tarnovo will be closed for a month, which will require a reorganization of the traffic in the city. The closure of the street is necessary due to the forthcoming excavation of this section in order to replace part of the collector pipe. This will significantly improve the drainage and will end the flooding of sidewalks, offices and shops during heavy rains.
The long-awaited renovation of Bulgaria Blvd. in Veliko Tarnovo starts today
From today – November 5, the implementation of the project for replacement of the water supply network under Bulgaria Blvd. and partially – under Bacho Kiro St. and Tsar Samuil St. (next to the intersection with Tsar Todor Svetoslav St.) begins. The first stage of the renovation starts from Tsar Samuil Street, which will be excavated to replace the water supply and sewerage collector and will last two weeks. The residents in the area have already been warned to move their cars so that the contractor company can start the repair. The temporary organization of the traffic is prepared and will be directed through the nearby Tsar Ivan Alexander str., next to the polyclinic.
Gradually, the excavation works will be moved in the direction of the court and along the boulevard, and due to the huge four-meter trenches the traffic will be closed and redirected in parts.
