Record number of COVID-19 infected people for 24 hours in Bulgaria

There are 66 new coronavirus infected people in Bulgaria for the last 24 hours with 29 of them in hospitals. This was announced at the regular briefing at the National Operations Headquarters this morning. 13 areas of the country are actively affected by the infection.

The total number of detected cases of COVID-19 is 1081. The increase from yesterday is 6.5%. There are 22 new cases in Sofia, 13 in Pleven, 5 new cases in Sliven and Veliko Tarnovo. There are 4 new cases in Plovdiv, Pazardzhik and Kyustendil and 3 in Lovech. 2 cases in Vidin and 1 in Burgas, Silistra and Pernik.

The active cases in Bulgaria are 841 and the number of recovered patients is 190. Of the confirmed cases to date, 22 have been detected in children under 10 years and 39 in people under 18 years. Patients with proven coronavirus infections who are hospitalized under medical supervision are 262, of them 37 are in intensive care. The total number of deaths is 50.
