Installations of 6-meter dandelions will decorate Veliko Tarnovo

Attractive installations will decorate Veliko Tarnovo with the onset of spring. The sculptures depict beautiful dandelions sculpted from chrome-nickel. Their author is the sculptor Denislav Sirakov.

The material is extremely strong, has a mirror effect and does not intrude. Recreating the structure of the dandelion, the impression will be of ethereality and transparency. Tender plants will rise to a height of 5-6 meters. Each dandelion will consist of 1300 parts, with each element first cut and then welded. The beauty and elegance of dandelions will be complemented by artistic lighting with changing colors.

The new art installations will be located in a composition – in three places three dandelions. The first composition will be Tsar Asen I Square in front of Tsarevets Fortress, the second will be located on the large panoramic site on Nezavisimost Street, and the third will be between the Boris Denev Art Gallery and the Asenevtsi monument. A fourth installation of 5 dandelions and a chrome-nickel grasshopper is also planned, which will be at the Kachitsa roundabout.

The author chooses the dandelion as the main figure in the installations because of the rich symbolism, because it is a harbinger of spring, which brings a smile when we see it. The dandelion is a symbol of faith, of creation, of good. According to the legends, whoever touches a dandelion, his dreams come true. Everyone remembers how, when he sees a dandelion, he makes a wish. And when it is scattered in the air, we believe that our wishes will come true.

The compositions are already being made and some of them will be installed for the city holiday – March 22.
