Wearing a face mask in Bulgaria made mandatory until 13th May

The order for wearing a protective mask or other means of covering the nose and mouth of all citizens of Bulgaria who are in indoor or outdoor public places is extended and remains mandatory until May 13th. The issuance of the new order is due the growing epidemic of COVlD-19 on the territory of Bulgaria and the increasing number of reported cases of coronavirus infection.

1387 people have been infected with the coronavirus in Bulgaria so far, of which 301 are hospitalized. 39 are the new positive cases for the last 24 hours. There are 11 new cases in Sofia, 4 of which are in hospitals. In Vidin – 11 new cases, Plovdiv – 4, Kyustendil – 4, Sliven – 2, Pazardzhik – 2. In Pleven, Blagoevgrad, Gabrovo, Haskovo and Yambol – 1 new case respectively. This was announced at the regular briefing at the National Operations Headquarters.

There are two new cases of infected children- a 16-year-old girl from Blagoevgrad and a 15-year-old boy in Haskovo. Two people have died in the last 24 hours making the total number of deaths 58. The treated and cured patients are 222 so far.
