As of today, parks in Bulgaria are open but under strict rules.

As of today, parks across Bulgaria will be open to visitors. The Health Minister Kiril Ananiyev issued an order on Saturday to open parks in strict compliance with sanitation and government regulations -masks are mandatory, no group gatherings, no drinking beer or sitting on the benches, no playing on the swings, slides and so on. The parks in Sofia, Ruse, Stara Zagora, Pleven, Veliko Tarnovo and more, as well as the beaches in Varna and Burgas,will be opened for walks. Check with your municipality to see which parks are open in your city.

Children up to 12 years old are allowed to go for a walk with up to two adults from the same family. It is forbidden to gather children from two families, as well as the gathering of people in the parks in general. Wearing masks and observing a minimum of 2.5 meters is mandatory. It is forbidden to sit on benches or use children’s swings and playgrounds as well as any sports facilities.

The time interval for taking children to the parks is from 9.30 to 18.30. Before and after these intervals, pet owners are allowed to go out for walks of their pets, as well as people doing sports. The organization of pedestrians in the parks is designed so that traffic is one-way.

The total number of infected with COVID-19 in Bulgaria is 1348. In the last 24 hours, 58 new cases have been identified. Of these, 22 were hospitalized. 206 people have been treated and cured. 301 people are admitted for hospital treatment. Of these, 41 were placed in intensive care and 56 people have died. In the coming days, it is expected that a system will be launched for automatically counting the number of tests performed.
