Veliko Tarnovo will become the filming set of an action-comedy movie

For two days Veliko Tarnovo will become the filming set of the newest Bulgarian film “Wildlings” („Диви и щастливи“). The main roles of the film will be played by Yana Marinova, Luiza Grigorova-Makariev, Alexander Sano, Daria Simeonova and Dimo Alexiev. Basil Eidenbenz, known from the British hit series “Victoria”, will also take part. The shoot of the film in Veliko Tarnovo will be done on 22 and 23 May in different locations of the city – the square in front of Tsarevets and the main street “Hristo Botev”. There will also be night pictures in the area around the Art Gallery “Boris Denev”.

The action comedy “Wildlings” tells the story of Boryana, who has lost sight of her happiness and life in general. A ridiculous coincidence awakens her hidden thirst for a meaningful existence and this leads her to bold and determined action. She attracts her best friend Mila in her adventures as well. Both manage to cope with the challenges and make a crazy trip towards their true nature, realizing that happiness is in their own hands. The production promises spectacular stunts that have never before been seen in a Bulgarian movie or series. Apart from the old capital Veliko Tarnovo, the team will shoot in different locations in Varna, Sofia and Ruse. The premiere of the film will be on 29 November this year.

The movie shoot in Veliko Tarnovo will cause some changes in the organization of car traffic. On May 22 – Wednesday, for the time from 06.00 to 12.30, the Tsar Asen I Square, as well as the adjacent streets, will be closed for traffic. For this period the final stop of the buses from the lines 20, 40 and 110 will be the Velchova zavera Square, and for line 5 – the Kraibrejna Street. The Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo warns that with the change and the extension of the routes, delays of the buses are possible for the given period of time.

On May 22 from 15.00 to 17.00 for short periods (from 3 to 5 minutes) the traffic will be stopped on Hristo Botev Str. The next day – May 23, from 19.00 to 22.00 the area around the Art Gallery Boris Denev will be closed. However, if there are unfavourable weather conditions, the temporary organization of the traffic will be cancelled.
