Over 700 books from different genres and for all ages are collected in a new cultural space that opens its doors in Veliko Tarnovo on 28.06.2019. Whether it is for a cup of fragrant coffee, hot tea or a refreshing cocktail, everyone is welcome in Page 394. The idea is to turn your back on the hectic everyday life for a minute and to dive into the pages of a beloved book.
Two young people – Janica Petrova and Blagovest Hristov, created the cosy atmosphere of the first of a kind café-book shop in the old capital. They chose the name inspired by their favourite book series – the Harry Potter series. Every Harry Potter fan knows the meaning of page 394. But for all of you muggles out there – this refers to the scene where Professor Snape is a substitute teacher for Professor Lupin in the Defense Against the Dark Arts and tells the class to turn to page 394 where the lesson for werewolves conveniently is. And if that still doesn’t mean anything to you (spoiler ahead) – Lupin is a werewolf and Snape is trying to expose him.
With the magical name and magical atmosphere “Page 394” is a place created with style and flair for culture. The first café-book shop in Veliko Tarnovo will also have a stage for actors, artists, photographers and all lovers of art and culture. Besides a coffee shop, Page 394 will be a place for exhibitions, monospectacles, book premiers and more. An interesting little surprise for all clients will be the cocktails that are a nod to famous literary titles. If the café-book shop is doing ok, Janitsa and Blagovest are also thinking of opening a new literary club in Veliko Tarnovo. For everyone wishing to visit this magical place, the address is 27 Hadji Dimitar Str.
