The decision of the regional crisis headquarters to cancel mass events was dictated by the increased number of people infected with COVID-19 in the country and in particular in the district. We remind you that the events “Arbanassi Summer Music”, the classical concerts of Trapezitsa and the International Festival of Military Orchestras have already dropped out of this year’s traditional summer program. The Ancient Festival “Nike – the game and the victory” will not be held in the ancient city of Nikopolis ad Istrum. The organizers of all other planned upcoming events also reserve the right to make changes.

8 new cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the Veliko Tarnovo region, according to the Unified Information Portal. With the new cases, the total number of those infected in the region since the beginning of the epidemic has reached 100 people. According to the Regional Health Inspectorate, 32 people have been cured so far, 56 are in home isolation, and 8 hospitalized. The total number of quarantined in the district is 539 people, including the close contact people of the confirmed cases of COVID-19.

240 are the new cases for the last 24 hours in the country. The highest number of newly infected is in Sofia – 71, in Plovdiv – 21 and Blagoevgrad – 17. The total number of infected has reached 6342. Currently, 498 patients are in hospitals. Five people infected with COVID-19 have died in the last 24 hours. The number of people cured during the past 24 hours is 129 or a total of 3166 since the beginning of the pandemic.
