“Trapezitsa – 1902” company developed a comprehensive concept for the creation of a Staroplaninsky hub. It’s recreational areas for sustainable tourism and green spaces for cultural and social innovations, the investment being worth BGN 2,879,000.
In partnership, the company will implement six projects.The “Regional Development,” “Human Resources Development,” and “Education” programs will finance these plans. The territorial coverage includes the municipalities of Veliko Tarnovo, Elena and Lyaskovets.

The museums in Veliko Tarnovo with new working hours from April 1

All museums in Veliko Tarnovo are extending their working hours

From April 1, 2024, the objects and expositions of the Regional History Museum-Veliko Tarnovo have new working hours for the active tourist season. Architectural-museum reserve “Tsarevets” welcomes visitors every day from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Closes at 20:00. Museum “Patriarchal Church of the Holy Ascension” is open from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Here are the working hours of the other museum sites:

“Trapezitsa” architectural-museum reserve welcomes visitors every day from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. It closes at 7:00 p.m.

Archaeological Reserve “Nikopolis ad Istrum” welcomes visitors every day from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Closes at 6:00 p.m.

A medieval pub from the 13th century was discovered during excavations – news Veliko Tarnovo

Interesting news Veliko Tarnovo an unusual find came out during rescue excavations on “Ksiliforska” Street near the replacement of the water pipe. On December 12, archaeologist Ilian Petrakiev came across a pit with 13 almost identical vessels – 12 clay and 1 glass, from the 13th century.

They represented jugs with handles with a capacity of a liter – a liter and a half, and their uniformity suggests that it is a medieval pub. And not only that, but glasses and even a bottle came out.

Installations of 6-meter dandelions will decorate Veliko Tarnovo

Attractive installations will decorate Veliko Tarnovo with the onset of spring. The sculptures depict beautiful dandelions sculpted from chrome-nickel. Their author is the sculptor Denislav Sirakov.

The material is extremely strong, has a mirror effect and does not intrude. Recreating the structure of the dandelion, the impression will be of ethereality and transparency. Tender plants will rise to a height of 5-6 meters. Each dandelion will consist of 1300 parts, with each element first cut and then welded. The beauty and elegance of dandelions will be complemented by artistic lighting with changing colors.

After a two-year delay, Trabant Fest returns to Veliko Tarnovo

After two years of delay due to the pandemic, the traditional for Veliko Tarnovo “Trabant Fest” will take place. The date is March 19, and the event, which gathers dozens of friends of the social vehicle, is included in the events celebrating the holiday of Veliko Tarnovo. This will be its eleventh edition.

Usually the Trabant Festival in the old capital opens the calendar for the year of such events. The program is still being finalized, but three of the main points are clear.
