After a three-year hiatus, the tourist train is again in motion and will provide interesting experiences to residents and guests of Veliko Tarnovo. The train started on July 1st, with its route changed so as not to create additional traffic jams in the old part of the city.
What you will see

According to the manager of “Tsarevgrad Tarnov” EOOD, this will be a convenience for tourists, there will also be signposts showing the route of the train. The new thing is that in this way tourists can also use it as urban transport.
The first stop after the parking lot is the Park of Miniatures, followed by the Church of St. Peter and Paul” in Asenova Mahala, then continues to Tsarevets Square, where there is also a stop. Then it goes along “Nicola Piccolo” street and stops at the bus stop shortly before the “Yantra” hotel. “In principle, we will use the bus stops as places to stop, because the stay of the train will be very short and they will not hinder the movement”, explains Borislav Yordanov. From there, the train bypasses the “Velchova Zavera” monument, makes a U-turn and continues along “Ivan Vazov” Street.
It then stops again at Tsarevets, the route follows the road to the church “St. 40 Martyrs”, the next stop is the Church of St. Peter and Paul’, etc.
