Tsarevets and Trapezitsa are included in the competition for favourite cultural and historical destinations “Wonders of the Decade”. The ranking started on the eve of the 10th anniversary of the largest national campaign for the preservation of cultural heritage and the promotion of historical tourism – Wonders of Bulgaria. It presents 20 sites that have become favourite destinations of tourists. After the vote, the winners in the Top 10 will be determined.

The episode “Tsarevets Fortress: The City of the Tsars” from the “Postcards” section of the multilingual news media emphasizes the historical significance of the old Bulgarian capital, which is defined as a “true national treasure” and a “popular tourist destination”.
