Over 70 optical and physical illusions will impress visitors of the new unique Museum of Illusions, which will be opened in Veliko Tarnovo later this month. It will offer holograms, 3D paintings, a levitating orb, an inverted room, a Jedi place, an Ames room, a real bank vault, a poppy plantation and many more entertainments and illusions.

The winners in the fourth Annual Tourism Awards – 2019 organized by the Ministry of Tourism have been announced. Prizes in 16 professional and creative categories were determined through an online vote, with thousands of users voting for their favourites during this period. Veliko Tarnovo is included with nominations in two categories for the Annual Tourism Awards and of course the pearl of the city – the Tsarevets fortress is amongst the winners.
The Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo has announced the start of the procedures for the selection of a contractor for the complete renovation of the main Bulgaria Street. New traffic organization, new traffic lights with special systems for bus priority and new bus stops with information boards powered by solar energy are envisioned. Besides these renovations, the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo is also planning the construction of two roundabouts. The renovations and constructions should start in early 2020 and are expected to be completed by summer.
