For another year Veliko Tarnovo takes part in the competition “The best city to live in Bulgaria”. Besides Tarnovo, another 26 cities from Bulgaria have also entered the competition which aims to monitor and evaluate the quality of life in major cities.
This year the cities will be evaluated according to criteria divided into 5 categories – economy, ecology, quality of life, education and safety. Traditionally, diplomas will be awarded for “Business City”, “Green City”, “Lively City”, “City of Knowledge“, “Safe City” and more.
Anyone who wants to support Veliko Tarnovo in the 13th edition of the annual ranking for Best City to Live can do so until December 14th on the website of darikradio.bg. So far, the award for the best city has been won four times by Sofia, three times by Burgas, twice by Varna and once by Veliko Tarnovo (2013), Stara Zagora and Ruse. The winning city will be announced on 19.12.2020.
The competing cities are: Blagoevgrad, Burgas, Dobrich, Gabrovo, Haskovo, Kardzhali, Kustendil, Lovech, Montana, Pazardzhik, Pernik, Pleven, Plovdiv, Razgrad, Ruse, Shumen, Silistra, Sliven, Smolyan, Sofia, Stara Zagora, Targovishte, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Vidin, Vratsa and Yambol.
