Wonder for things to do in Veliko Tarnovo region – here is one interesting idea.

In 2021, Valentin Dimitrov demonstrates and showcases various physical laws and chemical phenomena in a barn he transformed through his enterprising spirit. Nearly 30 products were exhibited then – a mock-up of an airplane wing profile, a pendulum clock mechanism, 3D puzzles, a frequency generator, a painting robot, a miniature organ, polyplast (a structure made of ropes with pulleys with a 20-kilogram weight attached to them, loads are lifted), Nikola Tesla’s coil, etc. The 64-year-old Valentin Dimitrov made the models with his own hands. He is also the tour guide in the museum and shows the visitors the magic of science. Usually the greatest interest is in the Archimedes screw, practically the first irrigation pump in history. Tour operators present the private Science Museum in Usoi with new exhibits as a destination.

Recently there are also two new exhibits.

One represents two spheres that show the Bernoulli effect – a Swiss physicist and mathematician. He discovered that the first movements of fluids create low pressure. The rapid movement of air creates low pressure between these spheres, attracting them to each other. Explains the creator of the Science Museum. The other new thing in it is a Van de Graaff generator – an accelerator of elementary particles.

The Science Museum in Usoi is now offered as a destination by tour operators. And many school groups hold open lessons there. It is very interesting for children and they also learn new things. The Private Science Museum in Usoi with new exhibits is offered as a destination by tour operators

The idea of the Elena resident came to him from his travels abroad.
“I’m either building something or traveling somewhere. And I have seen many such museums in the world – in Toronto, in Brussels, and in Spain there are in every major city. And everywhere I saw teachers leading children into them. I liked this and decided to do such a useful and interesting thing in Bulgaria as well,” says Valentin. Thus, he makes an additional advertisement for Elena, and also for Usoi, in which the inhabitants are not few, especially since it is very close to the city.

Valentin Dimitrov’s great love is pottery

He learned the craft at the former technicum of ceramics in trojan and continues to practice it. Most of all, he likes to create Turnovo sgraffito ceramics. Because there is painting there, and he is also an artist. Apart from the museum, he also built a ceramics school. And recently completed the construction of a wood-fired oven for firing the dishes. He does not go to exhibitions and fairs to sell his products. He does it on the spot, because he is very involved in explaining things in the museum. According to him, a hot summer is shaping up with many requested visits.

The price of tickets are BGN 10 for adults, and BGN 5 for students.
