The collection of the Miniature Park “Tarnovgrad – the Spirit of a Thousand Years Bulgaria” was enriched with 4 new models for the holiday of Veliko Tarnovo on 22nd March.
They are already exhibited and are mini copies of the Sofia Metropolitan Church, St. Nedelya Church, Dryanovo Monastery “St. Archangel Michael “, the Troyan Monastery “Uspenie Bogorodichno” and the “Doxodnoto zdanie” building in Ruse. With the new additions, the Mini Bulgaria collection under Tsarevets presents 66 historical and natural landmarks from all over the country. The expansion of the collection continues with the creation of new miniatures, including historical Bulgarian monuments. At the end of May, the smaller copy of the Belogradchik fortress will be exhibited, which is made in the mock-up workshop of the park in Veliko Tarnovo right now.
“Tarnovgrad – the spirit of millennial Bulgaria” is the first park with models of historical and natural landmarks in Bulgaria. It is situated on an area of 11 460 sq.m at the foot of the Tsarevets fortress in Veliko Tarnovo. To be more specific the park is set in the area below the Baldwin Tower at Tsarevets Fortress, called “Frenkhisar”. The miniatures are made of PVC and are in a scale of 1:25. They are exhibited outdoors throughout the year. The park makes “travelling” across Bulgaria for an hour possible. For the months from October till March, the park is open from 09:00 to 18:00 and from April to September the working hours are 09:00 – 19:30.
The new addition to the Miniature park is just a small part of the rich program provided for the holiday of Veliko Tarnovo. You can check out the other festivities here.
