The first of its kind sommeliers’ exhibition in Veliko Tarnovo will host over 20 wineries from all over the country with more than 200 kinds of Bulgarian wine.

On March 23rd and 24th Mall Veliko Tarnovo will host the first wine market – Sommelier Market Veliko Tarnovo 2019. The event aims to promote wine culture by gathering producers, importers and wine lovers in one place. The Fest Zone will be located on the 3rd floor of Mall Veliko Tarnovo and will offer a wide variety of new and matured wines. On Saturday, the exhibition will be open from 11.00 to 19.00 and on Sundays from 11.00 to 17.00. The entrance is free. If the wine forum is successful this year, the organizers promise to have a next edition.

During the exhibition, over 200 of the best wines offered in Bulgaria can be tasted. Many of the cellars will show white wines and rosé wines from Bulgaria’s harvest in 2018. Some of the stalls will even have the oenologists who have created the wines. This will enable the curious visitors of the event to get acquainted with the winemakers and to hear stories for their wines straight from the source.

In addition to tasting all sorts of wine, it is also possible to try interesting types of cheese and sausages from local producers. One of the best olive oils traded around the world will be at the exhibition as well. Visitors will have the opportunity to buy their favourite wines and delicacies on site, directly from the stalls of manufacturers and importers.

So if you happen to be a wine enthusiast dropping by the Sommelier Market Veliko Tarnovo 2019 is a must. The entrance is free and the festival starts at 11.00 both days so even if you aren’t a morning person you can still make it to Mall Veliko Tarnovo. The Mall is in Kolyo Ficheto neighbourhood on 18 Oborishte street.
