The emergency epidemiological situation will be extended until the end of the month. This was announced by the Minister of Health Kiril Ananiev at a special briefing with the National Operations Headquarters.
The Minister said that mass control over the observance of anti-epidemic measures will be strengthened. He also said that the ministry recommends the regional headquarters to strengthen the control for compliance with the measures in each district and, if necessary, to introduce new measures, taking into account the situation in the region. Based on a critical analysis of the situation, it is recommended to minimize mass events. In recent weeks there has been a strong spread of the virus specifically at mass events.
No new restrictive measures are planned to be implemented at a national level, according to the Minister of Health. However, the Ministry of Health will monitor the situation and, if necessary, may decide on additional restrictions. Also, the Health Minister did say that if we cross the limit of 200 patients per day that would be a signal that some of the measures need to be restored.
