From September 26 to September 29 the 17th edition of the International Pop Music Contest for Young Singers “Silver Yantra” will gather talents in Veliko Tarnovo from 12 countries and 3 continents – Europa, Asia and America. According to the regulation, the format of the competition allows 80 individual singers aged 5 to 25 years old, divided into 4 age groups. “Singing Families ” will also compete voices in the new attractive category “Family Group ”.
The youngest participant is 5-year-old Rachel May from China, who will turn 6 in Veliko Tarnovo. Her participation in Bulgaria is a birthday gift from her parents. The oldest is 25-year-old Andrea Stochino from Italy. For the first time on the stage of the Silver Yantra, we will also see a representative of distant Cuba – 10-year-old Dina Elizabeth Manatsu. There will also be a talented Lebanese child for the first time on stage – Charlize Maalouf (10 years old), who will perform a song in Arabic for the first night.
The battle for the Grand Prix and the awards in all age groups will be extremely hard. Italy will present itself in Veliko Tarnovo with many talented singers – finalists of various large formats – “The Voice of Italy”, “X-Factor”, “Microfono d’oro”. Slovenia will also participate with a finalist from “X-Factor” – Spela Jezovshek. The most famous vocal teacher in Cyprus, Silva Makamyan, has also selected many good performers to represent Cyprus in Veliko Tarnovo. Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Moldova and Ukraine will also have talented singers at the Silver Yantra contest.
Among the selected representatives of Bulgaria are participants in Children’s Eurovision and Slavic Bazaar, gold medalists of the 2019 Hollywood World Championship of Art, finalists in the Voice of Bulgaria and our X-Factor, participants in the latest “Show of Slavi” – “Become a star”, Grand Prix winners and prize winners from competitions at home and abroad. Even a child with over 1 million shares and views on her cover of Freddie Mercury will compete on stage in Veliko Tarnovo.
On September 26 (Thursday), at 6 pm, in front of the Bar “Royal” – the 17th Silver Yantra International Contest will start with an informal open-air concert “Welcome, Silver Yantra 2019!” The competition program is on September 27 and 28 and the gala concert is on September 29 at the Konstantin Kisimov Theatre.
