Veliko Tarnovo news: “The construction of the “Ruse – Veliko Tarnovo” highway begins

On 3.12.2023, the construction of the new “Ruse – Veliko Tarnovo” highway began with the first sod being turned. It was near the Byala – Tsenovo road. Prime Minister Academician Nikolay Denkov attended the symbolic event. Spesial guests were Regional Minister Andrey Tsekov, Deputy Minister of Transport Dimitar Nedyalkov, as well as people’s representatives, mayors, regional governors, etc.

Denkov recalled his meeting with the prime ministers of Romania and Greece a month ago in Euxinograd. The discussion focused on the development of the corridors along the North-South axis. “We put some maps. Looked at them and it turned out that Ruse is in the center of the highways that we want to develop. It leads from the ports of the Aegean Sea up to Romania, Moldova and Ukraine,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
