A Pumpkin Feast is annually held in Sevlievo – a culinary festival celebrating local traditional dishes, delicacies and crafts, created in the capital of pumpkins – Sevlievo.

15.10.2015 (Thursday)
The theatre performance Pumpkin Tale will be staged at Mara Belcheva Hall of Culture.
After the show ends, the Pumpkin Temptations Contest which presents various dishes made from pumpkin – pumpkin stuffed with meat, roasted pumpkin boats with mince, pumpkin desserts, etc. and The Best Pumpkin Contest for the heaviest pumpkin, longest pumpkin, smallest pumpkin, etc.

Sevlievo Autumn Fair will also be officially opened on that day.
16.10. 2015 (Friday)
6 pm – Little Miss and Little Mister Pumpkin contest for kids
7 pm – Concert of the popular singer Galena will be held on the Fair stage.
17.10.2015 (Saturday)
11 am – The great pumpkin festival named Colourful Pumpkin Party begins at Freedom Square in front of Sevlievo municipality.
The official opening begins with the awarding ceremony for the winners in the Pumpkin Temptations and The Best Pumpkin Contests.
A scene will be built in front of Sevlievo Municipality and stalls will be set up around the scene; pumpkin products and souvenirs will be sold there.
Citizens and guests of Sevlievo will be treated to a piece of delicious oven baked pumpkin.
12.00 pm – MasterChef show starts at noon. Chef Viktor Angelov will cut the traditional tikvenik (phyllo pumpkin pie). The tikvenik gets bigger with each year and this year is expected to be more than 200 m long. Everyone present can try it for free.
Tents will be placed near the stage; there Mr Angelov will prepare traditional dishes and specialties with pumpkin as the main ingredient.
2 pm to 4.30 pm – Lots of dancing and singing on the stage.
5 pm – The longest and most colourful train Pumpkinburg will set off from the garden at the bus station and will mark the beginning of joyful carnival parade. The procession will be lead by a huge polystyrene pumpkin placed on a platform and will stop at Freedom Square in front of Sevlievo Municipality.

The festive program then continues with lots of fun, singing and dancing.
8.30 pm – Guest singer will be the Bulgarian star Vasil Naydenov
10.18.2015 (Sunday)
11 am to 1 pm – Games, performances and workshops for everyone in the centre of Sevlievo.
