No “green corridor” for the elderly in the afternoon in Bulgaria

New anti-epidemic measures come into force on the territory of Bulgaria from 11.30 pm on Friday, November 27th, and will be valid until December 21st, 2020. From 11.30 pm on Friday, November 27th, grocery stores must organize their work as to not allow people under the age of 65 between 8.30 am and 10.30 am. For pharmacies, the so-called “green corridors” are eliminated.

From 11.30 pm on Friday, November 27, the attendance classes in all educational institutions will be suspended. This includes all students from 1st to 12th grade, all extracurricular activities, all universities, all educational and other training centres. Kindergartens and nurseries, as well as children’s centres, clubs and others providing organized group services for children are also suspended.

The holding of congress and conference events, seminars, competitions, trainings, team buildings, exhibitions and other public events in attendance is also suspended. All group cultural and entertainment events (cinemas, museums, galleries, stage events, concerts, classes in dance, creative and musical arts, etc.) are suspended. An exception is allowed for theatres when the seats are occupied up to 30% of their total capacity, observance of a physical distance of at least 1.5 m and mandatory use of face masks.

It is not allowed to organize and hold gatherings and celebrations of a private nature with the presence of more than 15 people. The new measures terminate all collective and individual sports events for people under 18 years of age, with the exception of international sports competitions, which have already started. All sports events for people over 18 years of age are held without an audience. Visits to fitness centres are suspended.

Visits to all catering and entertainment establishments are suspended. Only deliveries or picking up food for home and offices are allowed. Visits to gambling halls and casinos are suspended. Visits to shopping centres and shopping malls are suspended with the exception of grocery stores, pharmacies, drugstores, opticians, pet stores, banks, insurers, payment service providers, the offices of telecommunications operators and other communication service providers.

Group tourist trips, excursions with organized transport in the country and abroad and group visits to tourist sites in the country are suspended. All religious institutions will remain open. Parks and gardens too. There is no need for a night hour of any type on the territory of Bulgaria for now.
