Last week a new bus line N 100 in Veliko Tarnovo will be launched, on which three electric buses will travel.
The line connects the two newly built buffer parking lots with the central and old part of the city. And also has stops next to the museum and cultural sites and the main tourist attractions.

The electric buses were purchased under the project for integrated urban transport. The operator is the Municipal Company “Organization of traffic, parking lots and garages”. With the launch of the buffer parking lots, preferential prices are introduced for parking and traveling with electric buses.

What is the route:


The electric buses will run along the following route: Buffer parking “Sergeant’s school” – “Belyakovsko shose” stop – “Bulgaria” boulevard – “Courthouse” stop – “Municipality/MDT” stop – “Nezavisimost” street – “Stefan Stambolov” street – “Tsar Asen I” square in front of the Tsarevets fortress – “Asenov” district / stop “Church “St. St. Peter and Paul””/ – street “St. Kliment Ohridski” – Buffer parking “Frenhisar” and vice versa.

Electric buses will run from 9:00 a.m. to 6:20 p.m. from the “Sergeant School” buffer parking lot. They will leave at every 20 minutes. On the contrary – from the “Frenhisar” Buffer Parking, the line starts with a schedule from 9:30 to 18:50. incl. every 20 minutes. The timetable is valid both on working days and on weekends and holidays.

Electric buses travel up to 200 km on a single charge, crossing the city in 23 minutes

The electric buses with N 100 started without any problems on the streets of Veliko Tarnovo. And although people are still not used to them, the interest is great. “It is very nice and clean. And the conductor is also smiling,” the first passengers shared their impressions. Among the travelers was the deputy director of the Regional History Museum, Dr. Miglena Popova. “It’s a convenient line because it stops at iconic historical sites that are of interest and visited by tourists. We will recommend her to them,” she said.

The ticket for line N 100 costs BGN 1.50, the same as for other city lines. The seats in the electric buses are 12. With standing in peak hours they can fit up to 50 people.
