XIX International Tourist Exhibition
From October 8 to 10, 2024, Veliko Tarnovo will once again host the prestigious International Cultural Tourism Exhibition. This event, now in its second decade, is organized by the municipality of Veliko Tarnovo. National organizations of tour operators, hoteliers, and restaurateurs in Bulgaria support the event, along with the Ministry of Tourism. The exhibition has become a key platform for showcasing the efforts of municipalities, tourism companies, and civil associations. It focuses on developing cultural tourism and is part of the Annual National Tourism Advertising Program.

This year’s International Cultural Tourism Exhibition will take place at the Business Center Veliko Tarnovo (BCVT), and promises an exciting range of activities. The program features a specialized tourism exhibition with the participation of municipalities, tourism companies, cultural institutes, and even diplomatic missions. Attendees will also benefit from a rich conference program, held in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Culture. One of the event’s highlights is the national student competition, which focuses on current trends and prospects in the tourism industry. Additionally, the event includes the National Contest “Read and Travel,” which celebrates innovative approaches to tourism and culture.

This year, the XVIII edition of the exhibition expands to offer unique opportunities for regional food and beverage producers. A special section, “Table – Stories About the Bulgarian Taste,” will highlight small and medium-sized enterprises dedicated to preserving local traditions, flavors, and crops. The exhibition-bazaar offers a platform for farms and food producers, who use family recipes, to showcase their unique products. Participants will have the chance to host tastings in a specially designed tasting area, creating a direct connection between visitors and the flavors of Bulgaria.
