A third coronavirus positive patient was registered in Veliko Tarnovo. The patient is a 79 year old woman. She was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia. After the positive result for COVID-19 she was admitted to the specialized ward of the regional hospital.
The woman has been in contact with her grandson, who returned from England days ago. He and his mother were quarantined and waiting on their test results. The first two infected in Veliko Tarnovo are being treated at the hospital and their condition is improving.
The new cases in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours are 37, making the total number of people 449, announced the head of the National Operational Headquarters, Professor Ventsislav Mutafchiiski at his regular briefing. There are 10 deceased patients in total. But there are good news as well, a total number of 25 patients have recovered.
Another important update is that there is a proposal for the extension of the state of emergency to May 13 2020. It is only a proposal for now, it is yet to be voted and due to the current state of the National Assembly it is unclear when it can be voted.
