On Friday, November 27th, the Christmas Bazaar in Veliko Tarnovo will be officially opened. In order to avoid crowds and to ensure social distance, this year’s bazaar will have two locations – the central park “Marno Pole” and the Samovodska Charshia.
This is the first time that the Architectural and Ethnographic Complex “Samovodska Charshia” will be a part of the Christmas Bazaar. Magnificent lights will shine over the Crafts Street and the scent of mulled wine with cinnamon and warm Christmas sweets will be carried throughout the whole month of December. 12 pavilion houses will be filled with handmade gifts and works of art, culinary temptations, wine and more. The talented craftsmen from the Charshia will also offer Christmas presents in their shops.
This year there will be 25 wooden houses in Marno Pole Park with a rich variety of Christmas decorations, toys, souvenirs, seasonal goods, confectionery and many more festive temptations. The Christmas post office will be under an impressive natural Christmas tree, where the dwarves will accept children’s letters for Santa Claus until December 22nd. Don’t forget to write a return address if you want an answer from Santa.
The charity Christmas exhibition-bazaar “We can XIV” will be in one of the houses as well. There will be souvenirs, cards and drawings made by users of social services from the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo. In anticipation of Christmas, when people open their hearts, the bazaar will host several charity campaigns. The Christmas bazaar is organized by the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo and the Municipal Tourist Agency “Tsarevgrad Tarnov” and will be open every day from 10.00 to 20.00 until December 31st, 2020. All anti-epidemic measures will be observed during the Christmas Bazaar.
