As of Monday, more serious measures are needed against the coronavirus epidemic in Bulgaria. This was announced at a briefing of the National Operational Headquarters by the Minister of Health Kostadin Angelov. The measures will remain in force for 10 days and will be implemented due to the increase in the number of newly infected and the record number of hospitalized across the country.
prevention measures
By order of the director of RHI – Veliko Tarnovo, Dr Evgenia Nedeva, the epidemiological measures in the district are tightened. From 16th to 29th March it is prohibited to hold mass public events – celebrations, fairs, festivals etc. on the territory of the district. Markets and marketplaces must provide a distance of one and a half meters between stands. In shopping malls and food and non-food chains, a pass regime must be introduced to avoid crowding.
There has been an increase in the newly infected people registered in the Veliko Tarnovo district. The morbidity has jumped to nearly 200 per 100,000 people. 157 people were diagnosed in the last 3 days alone. As a result, the Regional Health Inspectorate in Veliko Tarnovo has ordered the suspension of scheduled admissions and scheduled hospital operations from today (Monday). Visits to hospitalized people are forbidden, and everyone who enters a hospital must wear a protective mask and will have their temperature taken at the entrance.
Gyms, dance and sports centres in Bulgaria will resume their activities from the beginning of February. A green light is also given for the operation of stores in large shopping centres and malls. This became clear on Monday morning, during a meeting at the Council of Ministers. At the meeting, the representatives of the National Operational Headquarters recommended an easing of the anti-epidemic measures.
