measures Bulgaria
As of Monday, more serious measures are needed against the coronavirus epidemic in Bulgaria. This was announced at a briefing of the National Operational Headquarters by the Minister of Health Kostadin Angelov. The measures will remain in force for 10 days and will be implemented due to the increase in the number of newly infected and the record number of hospitalized across the country.
By order of the director of RHI – Veliko Tarnovo, Dr Evgenia Nedeva, the epidemiological measures in the district are tightened. From 16th to 29th March it is prohibited to hold mass public events – celebrations, fairs, festivals etc. on the territory of the district. Markets and marketplaces must provide a distance of one and a half meters between stands. In shopping malls and food and non-food chains, a pass regime must be introduced to avoid crowding.
Restriction of mass events, festivals, markets, marketplaces, etc. was recommended by the Regional Crisis Headquarters for Combating K-19 in Veliko Tarnovo to the Municipality. For the period 26.02 – 11.03 a 14-day morbidity of 277.3 per 100 thousand people was reported for the district of Veliko Tarnovo. When the critical level of 300 per 100,000 people is reached, additional anti-epidemic measures will be introduced. The Veliko Tarnovo district has been in the red zone since February 27th. The monitoring of the compliance with the anti-epidemic measures will be strengthened, including the wearing of masks.
