The decision to open large non-food stores in Bulgaria has been canceled

The Minister of Economy revoked the guidelines for the opening of large retail outlets and other non-food stores issued yesterday. This was ordered by Prime Minister Boyko Borisov.

The instructions referred to the reorganization of the activity of big non-food stores in Bulgaria. The Ministry of Economy announced that the new decision was made in view of equality between the different industries, as well as due to the short term of the forthcoming anti-epidemic measures, which are in force until 31.03.2021. Earlier in the day, restaurant owners reacted sharply to the news of the easing of measures for large non-food stores and demanded the immediate opening of their non-operating establishments as well.
