Dixie Jazz Fest, which was supposed to start tonight in Veliko Tarnovo, has been cancelled and will not take place. This is necessary due to the decision of the regional crisis headquarters, which made its recommendations to the city government to cancel all mass events by July 31.

Veliko Tarnovo will once again become the capital of jazz in July
From July 9 to July 11 Veliko Tarnovo will once again become the jazz capital thanks to Dixie Jazz Fest. Despite the restrictions imposed by Covid-19 and the strict anti-epidemic measures we have been observing for months, the old capital will once again be swinging and jazzing. As always, the citizens of Veliko Tarnovo will be among the first to hear the latest projects on the Bulgarian jazz scene. This year Dixie Jazz Fest will be even more necessary because, as the ancient Greeks noted – a healthy body depends on a healthy spirit and vice versa, and we have no reason not to believe them.
XI Dixie Jazz Fest starts on July 11th in Veliko Tarnovo
For the eleventh year in a row, Veliko Tarnovo will host one of the most exciting events for music lovers – the XI edition of the Dixie Jazz Fest. It is organized by the Dixie Jazz Fest Foundation with the financial support of the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo. The friendly hosts will be the classical jazzmen of the Royal Dixie Band in Tarnovo. The event is free for all residents and guests of the city.
