The Health Minister of Bulgaria has suggested new measures to the Prime Minister and they are to be discussed by the Council of Ministers. The proposed measures will be discussed sector by sector during the cabinet meeting, after which a decision will be made on their implementation. The meeting of the government is scheduled for Wednesday, November 25th. And it is expected that the new measures will be introduced on Friday, November 27th.
COVID-19
The Minister of Health, Prof. Kostadin Angelov, corrected his order which specifies when elderly people over 65 can shop in grocery stores and pharmacies.
From Thursday mobile medical stations will be situated in front of all state and regional hospitals in the country. This became clear at a briefing given by the Health Minister Kostadin Angelov. There will be a team of a doctor and a nurse in these medical stations. They will consult patients who cannot reach specialists or their personal doctor for one reason or another. This will give people access to a timely consultation and a quick COVID-19 test.
Bulgaria ranks 21st in Europe and second in the Balkans in the number of people infected with the coronavirus. Our country ranks 10th in mortality rate from COVID-19 in Europe and 4th on the Balkan Peninsula. All municipalities in the country are either in the red or in the orange zone, there are no districts in the green zone.
