New anti-epidemic measures come into force on the territory of Bulgaria from 11.30 pm on Friday, November 27th, and will be valid until December 21st, 2020. From 11.30 pm on Friday, November 27th, grocery stores must organize their work as to not allow people under the age of 65 between 8.30 am and 10.30 am. For pharmacies, the so-called “green corridors” are eliminated.

The Minister of Health Prof. Kostadin Angelov announced at a briefing this morning that the epidemic situation in Bulgaria will be extended until January 31st. Temporary measures are introduced from the evening of November 27th /Friday/ to December 21st. During this period, classes are suspended in all educational institutions in the country, as well as in kindergartens, entertainment and language centres. Congress events and seminars and all group cultural and entertainment events are suspended. An exception is made for theatres, where up to 30% occupancy of seats is allowed and masks have to be used.
The Health Minister of Bulgaria has suggested new measures to the Prime Minister and they are to be discussed by the Council of Ministers. The proposed measures will be discussed sector by sector during the cabinet meeting, after which a decision will be made on their implementation. The meeting of the government is scheduled for Wednesday, November 25th. And it is expected that the new measures will be introduced on Friday, November 27th.
