Historical restorations, demonstration of weapons and falcons at the international exhibition Cultural Tourism Veliko Tarnovo 2018

The 15th International Tourist Exhibition Cultural Tourism Veliko Tarnovo will take place from 19th to 21st of April 2018.

Attractive historical re-enactments will show the Bulgarian past from the Middle Ages till the Renaissance in the days of the international exhibition “Cultural tourism” 2018 in Veliko Tarnovo. From 19th to 21st of April, in front of the Palace of Culture and Sports “Vasil Levski” the national fellowship Tradition – Veliko Tarnovo will present the military lifestyle of Bulgarians from the Middle Ages. Different types of weapons and armor can be seen and archery shooting at a specially built field shooting range. During the three days, everyone who wants will be able to test their dexterity and skills in various types of medieval games. More and more tourists from the United States, Romania and England are visiting the museums in Veliko Tarnovo each year

Over 6% is the growth of visitors to the sites and exhibitions of the Regional Museum of History in Veliko Tarnovo in the past year. The cultural and historical landmarks of the old capital in 2017 are viewed by 440,679 people, of whom 260,575 Bulgarians and 180,107 foreigners, as foreign tourists have increased by 26% compared to 2016. Major new highway Ruse – Veliko Tarnovo: the debate continues

Last month the government Agency for “Roads Infrastructure” (API) announced dates for a series of meetings to consult with local people on the proposed routes for the new highway between Ruse and Veliko Tarnovo, as reported by VT-Today Nov 23rd: Ruse-Veliko-Tarnovo-Highway.

The new road has an approximate length of 133 km. The beginning of the project is 3 km east of the existing Danube Bridge near Ruse and ends just south of Veliko Tarnovo, connecting with the existing road I-55 between the small towns of Kilifarevo and Debelets. The project is divided into three main sections: from Ruse to Byala, the bypass of the town of Byala and the section from Byala to Veliko Tarnovo.
