From July 9 to July 11 Veliko Tarnovo will once again become the jazz capital thanks to Dixie Jazz Fest. Despite the restrictions imposed by Covid-19 and the strict anti-epidemic measures we have been observing for months, the old capital will once again be swinging and jazzing. As always, the citizens of Veliko Tarnovo will be among the first to hear the latest projects on the Bulgarian jazz scene. This year Dixie Jazz Fest will be even more necessary because, as the ancient Greeks noted – a healthy body depends on a healthy spirit and vice versa, and we have no reason not to believe them.
The construction of clock towers in Bulgaria began in the 16th century and to this day they remain an emblem of the town or village they are in. These clock towers carry many memories of days gone by. One of the most beautiful and interesting cultural monuments in Elena is precisely the Clock Tower. It is recognised as a cultural monument of national importance. A special place was chosen for its construction so it can be seen from every part of the mountain town.
The emergency epidemic situation in Bulgaria will remain until July 15. The decision was adopted by the Council of Ministers. The Minister of Health Kiril Ananiev announced that new severe measures will not be imposed, but the control over the observance of the ones imposed so far will be strengthened.
