Malls and gyms in Bulgaria open today after being closed for 2 months due to the coronavirus. However, a number of restrictive measures remain in place. Protective face masks will be mandatory in all indoor spaces.
The ban remains that on the territory of shopping centres all entertainment and gaming halls and bars, as well as the indoor commercial areas of restaurants and entertainment centres, children’s clubs and so on are closed. Where there are open outdoor spaces, restaurants, cafes and such will work, but in compliance with the necessary distances between tables. Clothes and shoes can be tried on in stores but fitting rooms have to provide distance between customers.
Store tenants will provide disinfectants and compliance with the required distance between customers. However, there will be additional measures in places where crowds are expected. There will also be stickers that will indicate where to wait. No more than four people will be able to board the elevators, and up to 7 people will be allowed on the escalators, at a distance of one and a half meters between them.
Gyms in Bulgaria will also resume their activities with no more than 10 people in group activities and no more than 1 person per 4 square metres. Visitors will have to clean their hands with hand sanitizer. A distance of 1.5 metres between people has to be provided in the training hall. Training with a personal fitness trainer has to be conducted in compliance with all safety measures, without direct physical contact. The gym equipment will be disinfected after each customer.
