The Minister of Health, Prof. Kostadin Angelov, issued an order to loosen the anti-epidemic measures in Bulgaria.
From April 12th, cultural and entertainment events are allowed – all festivals, cinemas, theaters, circus performances, stage events, concerts, museums, galleries, libraries, classes in dance, creative and musical arts using no more than 30% of the capacity of the premises, observing physical distance of 1.5 m. and wearing protective face masks.
From April 12th, visits to restaurants and entertainment establishments are allowed using no more than 50% of their capacity. Their working hours will be limited between 6:00 and 23:00 o’clock.
From April 16th, visits to gaming halls and casinos are allowed using no more than 50% of their capacity. As of April 16th, the restrictions for the operation of the sites located in shopping centers will be lifted.
From April 29th, visits to discos, bar clubs, piano bars, variety bars and night bars are allowed using no more than 50% of their capacity.
With the same order, the Minister of Health orders the owners and managers of administrative or other sites that provide services to citizens, and whose activity is not terminated by this order, to establish an organization to control the number of clients in the respective site, not allowing more than 1 person per 8 sq. m. and abide by all other anti-epidemic measures.
The order also resumes the in-person learning process in school for:
- students from 1st to 4th grade and compulsory groups for preschool education;
- students enrolled in special schools for students with sensory disabilities;
- students from 5th to 12th grade taught in merged classes and in classes that are the only ones in the respective class of the school;
- students from 5th to 12th grade, observing the following schedule: from 12.04.2021 to 23.04.2021 – students from 7th, 8th and 10th grade will learn in person; from 26.04.2021 to 29.04.2021 – students from 5th, 9th and 12th grade will learn in person.
In universities it is allowed to conduct: practical classes, trainings and practical exams for students, postgraduates and doctoral students; semester exams with a practical part that cannot be conducted in an electronic environment; state exams and diploma theses defenses.
