Veliko Tarnovo will host the first round of the Gymkhana 2020 car race. It will be held on October 3rd, Saturday from 11.00 am at the circus playground (next to supermarket Billa). The racers will be driving through a previously announced and marked route and the goal is to overcome all obstacles in the shortest time and without getting penalty points.
The race will be held in three rounds, and the competitors will be divided into classes – men – stock class and men – class modified cars; women – class Stock and women – class modified cars. There will also be a BMW class, which is a special nod to fans of these cars. The competition is open to amateurs with their personal cars, with valid third-party liability insurance and technical inspection, and a valid driving license of course. More than 20 participants have registered so far.
The second round of the Gymkhana car race will take place in Gorna Oryahovitsa the next day, on October 4th. The car race will be held in the parking lot in front of the Chitalishte “Bratya Grancharovi – 2002”. The third round will be held in Tvarditsa. The date has not been specified yet.
The organizers of the competition are the Automobile Federation of Bulgaria, the respective municipalities and Etar Racing Team. The administrative and technical inspection of the cars will start at 9.00 am, and the start of the races will be given at 11.00 am. The awarding of the winners is expected to be around 2.30 pm.
