The ninth edition of the Autumn Festival, that was inspired by the European Night of Museums initiative, which has become a tradition for Veliko Tarnovo, will be held from September 20th to September 23rd. The festival blends antique crafts and modern art, offering visitors a variety of activities, many positive emotions, and a rich musical and accompanying program.

Banitsa Festival in Balvan, in the Veliko Tarnovo district
The festival will be held for the fourth consecutive year in the village of Balvan near Veliko Tarnovo. This time, it will take place on August 31st, Saturday from 9.30 am and will be called “The Banitsa on weekdays and holidays”. Around 20 people from all over the country have signed up to participate with the traditional Bulgarian delicacy and in the folklore program.

The third national rock festival – Hotalich, will take over the fortress in late August. After being named “the new rock capital of Bulgaria”, the organizers of the national rock festival “Hotalich” in Sevlievo near Veliko Tarnovo are striving to surpass the high bar they have set themselves. The festival is one of the most significant events for the municipality and is already present in the Cultural Calendar for the year. In addition to favourite Bulgarian bands, there is also a solid international presence in the festival.
