After the global pandemic blocked the entire cultural life last year, the traditional International Folklore Festival in Veliko Tarnovo will be held this year, albeit on a smaller scale than in previous years. The festival will once again be part of the cultural calendar of the old capital from July 25 to 30 on the stage of the Summer Theater.
Veliko Tarnovo will once again host the International Folklore Festival. On July, the 22nd edition of the Festival will officially begin. This year, the festival will be attended by nine countries. The spectators in the Summer Theater of the old capital will once again be overwhelmed by hot rhythms and exotic dances from foreign countries.
This summer Veliko Tarnovo will turn into the world capital of folklore for the 19th time. The International Folklore Festival Veliko Tarnovo is an event which has become inseparable part of the cultural programme of the town. This is a real, long anticipated feast for both citizens and guests of the old capital of Bulgaria. Dancers, musicians and singers from all over the world (Bulgaria, Belgium, Brazil, Chinese Taipei, Colombia, Mexico, USA and Chile) will bring good mood into our summer days in a way most enchanting and unique. Due to its perfect organization, exotic participants and the positive charge and emotions it brings, the festival is considered one of the most popular events in the world of folklore. The festive week will last from July, 16th till July, 23rd. Many more events will be hosted during the week – Miss Festival Contest, a traditional cuisine night, a photo exposition, etc. Both participant and audience will be sure to have a great time.
