For the fifteenth time Gorna Oryahovitsa will welcome and gather people for the Feast of Gornooryahovski Sudzhuk. The fest will have a rich program and many surprises for the visitors this year. During the whole weekend citizens and guests of the city will eat sausage, enjoy the festive program and will have the opportunity to participate in culinary games.
The celebration will take place from 3 to 5 June in the parking lot of the Summer Theater. It is organized by the Municipality of Gorna Oryahovitsa together with the companies “Bobby”, “Rodopa” and “Stefanov” – the only ones entitled to produce meat delicacy with the brand “Gornooryahovski sudzuk”.
The performances of the local ensembles will start on the open stage on June 3 at 5.30 pm. The guest performers on the first night of the holiday are the Canaries Orchestra and other popular Bulgarian performers.
The official opening is scheduled for June 4 at 11:00. Throughout the day the program will be extremely colorful and full of music, songs, dances, various games and raffles. There will be a separate alley of crafts, as well as a corner with typical dishes for the Gorna Oryahovitsa region. There will be guest performers on the second night as well, which will take care of the good mood.
On the third day – June 5, there will again be many songs and dances of amateur groups from the region, as well as culinary games and quizzes.
During the three-day Feast of Gornooryahovski Sudzhuk there will be a temporary organization of traffic in the area of its holding. From 3 to 5 June (inclusive) sections of streets will be closed to traffic, as follows:
– from the intersection of Vasil Aprilov Street with Mano Todorov Street to the intersection of Mano Todorov Street with Hristo Smirnenski Street and all perpendicular streets of Mano Todorov Street in the closed section.
Term of validity for the temporary organization of traffic:
– On 03.06.2022. / Friday / from 16:30 to 23:30;
– On 04.06.2022. / Saturday / from 09:00 to 22:30;
– On 05.06.2022. / Sunday / from 08:30 to 15:00
The Police Department of Gorna Oryahovitsa will provide full assistance in ensuring and complying with the temporary organization of traffic.
