Medieval camp at Trapezitsa will mark the start of the summer tourist season in Veliko Tarnovo

A medieval camp at the Trapezitsa fortress will mark the beginning of the active summer tourist season in Veliko Tarnovo. The historical reconstructions will take place on May 22nd from 10:00 to 18:00 at the second fortress of medieval Tarnovgrad. They will include reconstructions of everyday life, crafts, military skills and more from the XII-XIV centuries. Visitors will be able to get acquainted with glorious moments of the Bulgarian history in an authentic environment, according to the organizers.

Hotalich National Rock Festival in Sevlievo near Veliko Tarnovo

The third national rock festival – Hotalich, will take over the fortress in late August. After being named “the new rock capital of Bulgaria”, the organizers of the national rock festival “Hotalich” in Sevlievo near Veliko Tarnovo are striving to surpass the high bar they have set themselves. The festival is one of the most significant events for the municipality and is already present in the Cultural Calendar for the year. In addition to favourite Bulgarian bands, there is also a solid international presence in the festival.

Rock festival “Hotalich” near Veliko Tarnovo

The second national rock festival “Hotalich” -Sevlievo ‘2018 will be held on the 31^st August at and the 1^st September in Sevlievo, near Veliko Tarnovo. The festival will start at 17:00 on Friday and end at 23:55 on Saturday. For all residents and guests of the city who will visit the festival, parking is provided at the Fairground in Sevlievo.
