New supermarket offers free rental bikes and library to its customers in Pavlikeni, Veliko Tarnovo

Great interest today at the opening of the new “Absolut +” store in Pavlikeni, Veliko Tarnovo. This is the second supermarket “Absolut +” in the town and is located near the stadium of 63 “Ruski” blvd.  Hours before the official opening in front of it had gathered hundreds of citizens, eager to visit the store.

This is not just a commercial store but it also offers a lot more for the residents and visitors of the town. There is an exhibition of the Pavlikeni history, a small library that everyone can use for free and the area is equipped with a children’s playground and a recreation area. The supermarket also offers free bikes that can be used against a customer card together with a purchase over 5 leva and the return time is 24 hours.

Veliko Tarnovo district food festival coming soon – The XII Fest of the Gorna Oryahovitsa Sudzhuk

At the beginning of June another food festival will take place in Veliko Tarnovo district. The XII Fest of the Gorna Oryahovitsa Sudzhuk will take place from 8th to 10th June.

The programme of the fest will be fulfilled with a lot of music, culinary demonstrations, games, entertainment and surprises. It is organized by the Association of Meat Processors in Bulgaria with the financial support of the Ministry of agriculture, food and forests and the State Fund “Agriculture” and with the active participation of Gorna Oryahovitsa municipality. The companies “RA 03 Bobby”, “Rhodope – 96” and “Stefanov – Ivan Stefanov” the only few that are authorized to produce Gornooryahovski Sudzhuk will participate at the celebrations.

Veliko Tarnovo agricultural show 2018 – featuring traditional Bulgarian cusine

Old Bulgarian recipes with sheep’s milk, cheese and meat will be cooked for the visitors of the forthcoming Seventh National Festival of Sheep Breeders in Bulgaria. From 11th to 13th May near the Petropavlovski Monastery (just 10 km from Veliko Tarnovo) the forgotten taste of folk cuisine will be shown by amateurs from different parts of the country.
