This exciting event will be held in the town square and will feature two main sections: culinary and folklore. The Walnut Festival is created by Petya Kirilova and Antonio Perez, whose vision is to expand it internationally. They aim to collaborate with Spanish municipalities from the Malaga region, which also celebrates a similar festival. Their goal is to make this a large-scale event. To draw visitors from across the country, including from Veliko Tarnovo and the surrounding areas. They hope guests will spend at least one full weekend in Dolna Oryahovitsa. And will enjoy the Walnut Festival and explore nearby Veliko Tarnovo.

Over 120 participants, including artists, creators, craftsmen, locals, businesses, and institutions, have joined the festival program. Attendees can enjoy 108 events spread across 47 locations in the Old Town.

The twelfth edition of the prestigious cultural forum is this weekend – June 10 and 11. “Ilarion Dragostinov – 1897” PN in the village of Arbanasi is the organizer of this festival. With the assistance of the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo and Arbanasi City Hall. This interesting entertaiment in Veliko Tarnovo is not to be missed.

The festival has a conceptual approach. Therefore awards will be held in two categories – for authentic and for processed folk. The best performers will reseive prize money and certificates . They will compete in different age groups and perform as singers, dancers and in reenactments of customs.
