Veliko Tarnovo is one of ten Bulgarian towns which witness an increase in the price of properties; the rise is minimal though. According to data from the National Statistics Institute asking price for apartments in Veliko Tarnovo marks a climb of 2.1% on a yearly basis. Deals were completed at an average of 365 euro per sqm in 2013 and at 373 euros per sqm in 2014. Prices in the Old Capital are two times lower than those in Sofia
Prices in the last trimester of 2014 were 378 euros per sqm compared with 375 in the third trimester meaning that there is a slow but steady growth in the figures.
The forth trimester saw the same trend in 13 other Bulgarian towns. The most expensive properties remain in Sofia, following by Varna and Burgas.
