Hotnitsa Waterfalls
The last three years saw the village of Hotnitsa gradually transforming and improving. The village is located in Veliko Tarnovo area and is widely known for its beautiful waterfall, which attracts hundreds of tourists daily. Hotnitsa has become the new home of many British expat families and nowadays the number of foreigners living in the village is close to the number of the Bulgarians.

A public discussion concerning the route of Hemus Highway took place last Friday in Veliko Tarnovo. The director of the Strategic Infrastructure Projects National Company Asen Antov and the Mayor of Veliko Tarnovo Municipality, Daniel Panov, attended the meeting.
The new shopping centre
A new mall will open within the next month, it was announced by a local newspaper. It is located in the very centre of the town, just a stone throw’s away from the Green market. It will be smaller than the already existing one but still with its 10,000 sqm will bring joy to the shopping fans.
The shopping complex will host more than 30 shops, a bank branch, cafés and a restaurant. There will be also two parking lots, one of which – underground; they will have a combined capacity of 100 vehicles.
On 5th, 6th and 7th June Veliko Tarnovo will mark the third birthday of Britos Brewery with a large fest. A variety of interesting events will be organized during the three days with the venues being Asenevtsi Monument, Druzhba Park and Ivaylo Town Stadium. The organizers of the Summer Fest are hoping that over the years it will establish itself as traditional for Veliko Tarnovo and it will be celebrated every year at the beginning of June.
The 3-day festive programme includes a number of games and competitions, streetball and volleyball tournaments, beach tennis, dance lessons and lots more (Saturday and Sunday, Druzhba Park, between 11 am and 6 pm) .
