Veliko Tarnovo Municipality has plans to build a new park with family-friendly activity grounds spanning on 18,000 sqm. The terrain is located in the Kachitsa area and its ownership was transferred to the Municipality just days ago at a meeting of the Council of Ministers. The place is known as the Circus Arena – circuses visiting the town are setting up their tents there. The Mayor of Veliko Tarnovo personally engaged himself with the project and the final decision was also due to his efforts. In his words, speculations that residential buildings or a new retail chain will be constructed there are false and in reality a new park with many options for recreation will be built on the premises. An interesting fact is that the first evidence of life in the region, from around 4000 BC., was found in Kachitsa area.
