From October 29th, for 14 days (i.e. until November 12th), with an order issued yesterday, the Minister of Health introduces the following anti-epidemic measures on the territory of Bulgaria:
Attendance classes for high school students are suspended. They will switch to online learning for 2 weeks. The same goes for university students.
All extracurricular activities, as well as attendance classes in language centres, educational centres, study centres and others, are suspended. They can continue learning online. Exceptions are allowed for activities for students in primary and junior high school.
The holding of congress or conference events, seminars, exhibitions and other public events in attendance is allowed with the participation of no more than 30 people.
It is allowed to hold cultural and entertainment events (theatres, cinemas, concerts, classes in dance, creative and musical arts) with occupancy of up to 30%.
Collective and individual sports events are to be held without an audience. An exception is allowed for the international tennis tournament Sofia Open 2020, but the audience has to be at least 2 seats apart.
All discos, piano bars, night bars, clubs and other nightclubs will be closed for these 2 weeks.
Dining and entertainment establishments (restaurants, fast food establishments, drinking establishments, cafes and bars, except nightclubs) must provide a distance of 1.5 m between tables. No more than 6 people per table are allowed.
The owners and managers of public facilities must establish an organization so as not to allow more than 1 person per 3 square meters on the site.
The organization of excursions and group visits to tourist sites is suspended.
In all markets and open-air and indoor bazaars, an organization is created for one-way traffic and providing a distance of 1.5 m between visitors. Workers and visitors are required to wear a face mask.
The same order states that the suspension of the planned admission in hospitals in the areas in the red and orange zone does not apply to the activities of rehabilitation, long-term treatment and psychiatric care.
As for the numbers, the newly diagnosed people in Bulgaria for the past 24 hours are 2 569. The distribution by districts is as follows: Blagoevgrad – 91; Burgas – 101; Varna – 169; Veliko Tarnovo – 37; Vidin – 13; Vratsa – 53; Gabrovo – 32; Dobrich – 15; Kardzhali – 54; Kyustendil – 35; Lovech – 16; Montana – 22; Pazardzhik – 26; Pernik – 25; Pleven – 63; Plovdiv – 230; Razgrad – 31; Ruse – 98; Silistra – 6; Sliven – 19; Smolyan – 6; Sofia region – 69; Sofia city – 1085; Stara Zagora – 81; Targovishte – 39; Haskovo – 32; Shumen – 95; Yambol – 26.
A total of 42 701 cases have been confirmed in Bulgaria. 22 597 of them are active. The cured people are 18 943 with 293 registered during the past 24 hours. 2 217 patients with a proven coronavirus infection are in hospitals. Of these, 145 are in intensive care. The total number of deaths is 1 161 with 25 during the last 24 hours.
