Pieces from the world opera and operetta classics are featured in the program of the traditional Christmas concert, prepared by the Konstantin Kisimov Musical and Drama Theater in Veliko Tarnovo.
The gala spectacle “Christmas Sparks” will be held on December 21st at 7 pm in the large theatre hall. Before that, connoisseurs of the musical art will be able to enjoy the concert in four Bulgarian cities. The tour begins on December 17th in Popovo and will pass through Gabrovo (December 18th), Troyan (December 19th) and Sevlievo (December 20th). The concert will have a classic and popular block and the program will include fragments of beloved arias and duets from the works of Bellini, Donizetti, Verdi, Guno, Bizet, Strauss, Kalman, Lehar and many more. Italian cantons and other hits will enhance the festive Christmas mood. They will sound under the conduction of Igor Bogdanov. Writer and director of the show is Stefan Metodiev and Lydia Karkelanova is the stage designer. The soloists of the Theatre Doroteya Doroteeva-Soicheva, Lydia Lazarova, Simona Kodeva, Momchil Karaivanov and Plamen Dolapchiev together with the guests Ivo Yordanov – baritone, and Mihail Mihaylov – tenor, who have been working closely with the “Konstantin Kisimov” theatre for many years, will perform on stage. The concert also features the orchestra of the theatre. The host of the concert will be the actress Dobrinka Toseva, who is the youngest addition to the creative team of the drama ensemble.Special guests on the big stage will be the talents of the Vocal group “Singing Bells” at the Youth House headed by Vladimir Gabrov.
