The 13th edition of the International Folk Crafts Fair will be held from 4 to 6 September at the Etar Architectural-Ethnographic Complex, near Gabrovo. It is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Municipality of Gabrovo and Etar Architectural-Ethnographic Complex. 75 artists from Bulgaria and 30 from Japan, South Korea, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Romania, Russia, Scotland, Ukraine, Italy and Syria will demonstrate their crafts during the fair.
Craftsmen producers of folk musical instruments will have their First National Meeting 
organized for the very first time during the event. A jury comprising of members of the Folk Music Orchestra at Bulgarian National Radio will determine the best instrument in five categories (bagpipe, kaval (shepherd’s pipe), gadulka (rebec), tapan (drum) and mandolin). The International Crafts Fair will offer a rich musical programme for its visitors.
The 11th Traditional Crafts – Past, Present and Future – International Conference will also be held during the fair; it will be attended by 37 experts from Bulgaria and abroad.
