Veliko Tarnovo launches a sightseeing tourist train tour. Its starting point will be in front of Yantra Hotel. The tourist train will be running from 10 am till 16 pm. Its route is to pass along Velchova Zavera Square, Tsar Asen I Square (in front of Tsarevets Fortress), The Church of Saints Peter and Paul, Kraibrezhna Street (along the Yantra River) and then it will return along the same itinerary. Depending on traffic the journey in both directions will take up to 20-30 minutes.
The train has two carriages and its capacity is 20 adults or 30 children. It is equipped with a ramp for passengers with disabilities. One-way ticket is 2 leva (the return one being 4 leva), children and pupils go for free.
The tourist train is part of Veliko Tarnovo Municipality project Enhancement of tourism 
attractions and related infrastructure under the Regional Development Operational Programme. Guests and citizens of Veliko Tarnovo can now go sightseeing riding the tourist train and admire some of the town’s historical sites already restored owing to that project.
