Over 1000 purebred animals – sheep, goats, dogs and horses, will be shown at the upcoming National Festival of Sheep Breeders. The ninth edition of the largest industry event in Bulgaria will be held from 18 to 20 June near the Petropavlovski Monastery near Lyaskovets.

The ninth edition of the National Festival of Sheep Breeders will be held from 8th to 10th May 2020 near the Petropavlovski Monastery in Lyaskovets near Veliko Tarnovo.
Eighth National Festival of Sheep Breeders near Veliko Tarnovo
More than 200 exhibitors will arrive for the 8th edition of the National Festival of Sheep Breeders near Veliko Tarnovo. Traditionally, it is held near the Petropavlovski Monastery and this year it will be from 10 to 12 May. The motto of the festival is “Bulgarian foods from Bulgarian raw materials”. The fair will unfold on a terrain of 140 acres with two scenes, over 5 500 sq. m. exhibition halls, a tent of 1 300 sq.m. for the presentation of different types of sheep and goats, a field for horse racing, exhibition areas, and more.

Old Bulgarian recipes with sheep’s milk, cheese and meat will be cooked for the visitors of the forthcoming Seventh National Festival of Sheep Breeders in Bulgaria. From 11th to 13th May near the Petropavlovski Monastery (just 10 km from Veliko Tarnovo) the forgotten taste of folk cuisine will be shown by amateurs from different parts of the country.
